Heading Back to School

Parents, starting a new school year can bring excitement and stress for children and families. New routines, teachers, responsibilities, and friendships may feel overwhelming at first.
- Create consistent bedtime and morning routines
- Listen to their feelings without judgment
- Break challenges into smaller steps
- Practice calming skills, such as deep breathing
- Allow time for rest and connection
- Praise effort and progress
Some nervousness is normal. However, additional support may help if anxiety, school refusal, sleep problems, or strong emotions begin interfering with your child’s daily life.
At Light to Wellness Therapy and Consulting Services, PLLC, I help children, teens, and families build coping skills, manage anxiety, and navigate life transitions with confidence.
